You Wanna Get Fit? Then You Gotta Commit!
You Wanna Get Fit? Then You Gotta Commit!
You Wanna Get Fit? Then You Gotta Commit!
Way too many people make half-hearted goals when it comes to fitness. This is especially true when it comes to so-called New Year’s Resolutions. They basically make a resolution that they’re going to lose weight and get fit for the summer beach season. Many will start and most will drop out. The reason they drop out is because their resolutions mean nothing to them. It was simply something they thought they had to do, not what they want to do.
It’s the same with weight loss goals (or any other goals). There is no meaning, no passion, no reason why they want to do it.
It’s all about commitment!
Most people are not committed towards reaching their goals. Here’s a story that will help to illustrate my point…
A Chicken and a Pig were walking down a street.
The Chicken had an idea on making money and says to the Pig, “Hey Pig, I was thinking we should open a restaurant!”
The Pig replies, “Hmmm, it might be a good idea. What should we call it?”
The Chicken then responds, “How about ham-n-eggs?”
The Pig thinks for a moment and says: “No thanks. I’d be committed, but you’d only be involved!”
You see, the pig would have to give his whole being to the project and the chicken would only have to give eggs.
Getting fit will take commitment.
It’s not a sometime thing either. It’s a lifestyle. Movement on a regular basis is part of the process. When you engage in fitness every single day, then you’ll reap the rewards of what it will bring to you. This is true of whether you’re young or old. And being physically fit is one of main keys to staying young.
It beats any and all potions, gimmicks, and fancy equipment. Yet, it takes effort. Now, here’s the thing about fitness. Once you get onto the bandwagon and find a physical activity that you love and challenges you, you’ll want to do more of it. Still, you gotta do it.
Getting and staying fit is not easy.
Yes, it can be fun. It’s up to you. How bad do you want it and for what reason. For me, it’s my life. I live and breathe it. And I want to see how far I can go in challenging myself to get better, stronger, fitter at any age.
I wish you a wonderful journey into fitness. STAY COMMITTED! JUST DO IT!
